She believes that dealing with the death of a loved one or facing one’s own mortality can change the way one lives life, and lives by the motto memento mori, meaning “remember that you must die.” An active member of Saint Andrew Orthodox Church, she genuinely loves to help those who wish to live their faith through values-based planning.
Matrona’s travels have broadened her world and shaped who she is today. In all, she’s been to 42 U.S. states, mostly on the road, and hopes to someday see the other 8. She has also spent a semester in London and traveled to many other European cities. Lately, she has become enthralled with Southern California’s diverse beauty by hiking local trails. Matrona’s other great pastime is singing classical, jazz, and pop music. She’s performed Handel’s Messiah for several years in the Temecula valley, and performed Vivaldi’s Gloria with her college choir at New York’s Carnegie Hall. She has also appeared with her acoustic duo to cover favorites at venues in Temecula’s wineries. She lives in Murrieta with her family, her dog, her ukuleles, and her piles of books.
